Nebraska Precision Riflemen will again host their annual “Battle of Breakneck” precision shooting match, dates for this exciting event have not been specified just yet but details and registration information will be added very soon.
The shootout will take place approximately 3 miles East of Broadwater, Nebraska in the rough and scenic river breaks of the North Platte river. As before, this match will be a field style match with a mix of prone and positional shooting from both natural structures and man made barricades, however we intend to keep this match as much as possible in and on a natural/practical format.
Like in our past events, NPR strives to host fun and challenging matches that draw from the competitors raw shooting abilities. Again this is not a “gamer” match but rather a more traditional field style competition.
The match will consist of 24 to 26 stages with ranges that vary from 100 to 1500 yards, the max round count to be no more than 250 rounds per competitor. Bring plenty of extra if you can as the fun shoots and sight in are unlimited. We recommend 300 rounds for the weekend. That will give you enough for everything plus a bit of a cushion if you have a gun or scope issue.
May 18th will be zero-in day. Paper targets staged at 100 yards with steel plates staged out to 1300 yards to check dope.
For those interested, bring your big bores as we will once again offer a mile shoot. Other sides matches are being designed so there will be something for everyone to compete in and enjoy.
Sponsors logos and links to their website will be added as they partner with us for this shoot.
